I'm actually looking forward to this election, I think a lot of the incumbent candidates both R & D are showing their true colors. That is, they'll say anything and do anything to get elected. Rush and Glenn are also being revealed as the Gestapo dropouts they really are. They say they are voices of reason, but if you listen deep enough you can hear their voices of treason. They drive that divisive wedge as deep as they can every chance they get, and then tell you they are trying to save America from the dividers. Spreading fear and hate, however subliminally, is still propaganda in my book. As you say, the sad part is that most people are too complacent to think about it and go bleating along the path following them over the cliff.

I have no fear of Obama and his proposals. I'm a gun owner and have absolutely no fear of losing my guns. Don't believe me, just try it. I'm a senior citizen and have no fear of winding up poor and destitute. I'm a white man and have no fear of liberal non-whites being in charge of things. I do however, fear the prevalent conservative mentality that wants to bail out mega-sized banks and corporations. Weren't they the temple moneychangers who put us here in the first place?

Do we have a global economy? Not unless you want to call moving all our jobs overseas and buying everything we need from countries like China, who have no environmental conscience, global economic sense. Look what is happening to the family farm, to the downtown districts of our inner cities, to the education and health care systems, and tell me we are gearing for the future of America.

War has always been good business. The Washington elite have always made good money from war. Don't believe me, ask Dick Cheney, or Nixon, or LBJ if they could answer.
Hell, don't get me started, LoL.

I think Obama is doing a great job considering what he was handed to deal with. The problem is that people are not taught critical thinking skills in school/college so they listen to FOX and all the far right talk shows and believe it - follow it like sheep to the slaughter. I am glad that our President is finally speaking out and labelling the reps as the party of no, but it may be too late. The next election is crucial and we do not have enough momentum to keep/regain seats, at the present time.

Hi Blaine, Glad to see you commenting! My back is actually feeling pretty good, but when we spoke earlier about going, I forgot that I was on call last week and couldn't leave the area.

I would like to meet Brad Edwards as I have corresponded with him about the Battle Creek site a few years ago.

Thanks for reading and commenting, m'friend.

Sorry about your back, Bill. Wondered why you didn't make the Fall Trek. It was pretty neat. Turns out, I was the only person on the planet who didn't know about the Milk Creek battle. I just thought it was the Meeker Massacre! Take care of yourself! Blaine

Hey Susan,

Thanks for being patient on the registration and comment process. I may just forego the formalities of it all and make it easier to post. The spammers don't seem to be too bad yet and I can always delete their spam anywayz.

Missed you yesterday at SWG. I'll probably be back next week too.

ttyl,
Bill

Hey Bill! Finally got logged in to leave a comment. Love your writing - straight forward, to the point, informative. Just as natural as speaking with you. Best of luck with your blog and poetry. Probably won't see you for a while at writers group now that the snow if falling.
